Why We Built This Site
Public access can still be hard to navigate when one courthouse contains several clerk functions. A felony record, District civil file, and traffic copy request do not all use the same Fifth Circuit email. eCourt Kōkua shows public case information, but older files, documents without PDF icons, sealed material, and certified copies require other routes. We bring those distinctions together and point readers toward the Hawaiʻi State Judiciary office that maintains the original record.
Kauaʻi also differs from many mainland counties. There is no county court, elected county clerk of court, or municipal court system. Puʻuhonua Kaulike in Līhuʻe houses state Circuit, Family, and District Court operations. That structure makes accurate routing more useful than a generic county-office directory.

- We cannot seal, remove, or amend a docket entry.
- We cannot issue plain or certified court copies.
- We cannot give advice about a case or deadline.
- We cannot guarantee that a fee, contact, or setting remains current.
An official or certified copy must come from the Hawaiʻi State Judiciary clerk responsible for the Fifth Circuit case. Verify consequential information with that office.
